Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital Opens Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Program

New Lenox, IL April 30th, 2019 – Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital is now providing specialized inpatient psychiatric treatment to adolescents ages 13-17 (18 if still in high school). The 25-bed unit is dedicated to providing a safe and therapeutic environment of care for teens to focus on healing and feeling better.

Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital is aware that teens face increasing challenges from daily life. While in behavioral health treatment, teens will learn different types of coping mechanisms and techniques to help them understand mental health and appropriate self-care. They can feel safe to talk about their feelings, share their experiences and focus on healing.

Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital Expands Inpatient Mental Health Programs

New Lenox, IL April 1st, 2019 – Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital announces the expansion of mental health and chemical dependency treatment available at the hospital. On Monday, April 1st, Silver Oaks will begin accepting adults ages 18-54 into inpatient care.  This new service offering will join the currently running Senior Adult Monarch Program. Silver Oaks is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services for mental health and chemical dependency care.

The 25-bed Adult Psychiatry Program provides care for adults struggling with Mental Health and/or Chemical Dependency conditions. More than 1,000 people die from suicide in Illinois each year and that number continues to grow over time. Individuals at risk for suicide span all age ranges, but there is a particular concern as these rates are dramatically increasing among middle-aged men. Mental health conditions often go undiagnosed and untreated due to stigma and lack of education on how to recognize signs and symptoms.

Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital Announces Opening Date & Senior Adult Program

New Lenox, IL, January 16, 2019 – Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital announces the official opening will take place in late January 2019.  Silver Oaks is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services for mental health and chemical dependency care.

Initially, Silver Oaks will be opening with the Monarch Program, a specialized treatment program for senior adults. The 25-bed Senior Adult psychiatry program provides care for older adults struggling with Mental Health and/or Chemical Dependency problems.

The realities of suicide completions in the elderly are staggering. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are 75.4 million baby boomers. If elderly suicide rates remain the same, that means that more than 11,000 lives will be lost to suicide annually as baby boomers reach 65 and older. Suicide is an important problem among older adults. Suicide rates are particularly high among older men, with men ages 85 and older having the highest rate of any group in the country. Suicide attempts by older adults are much more likely to result in death than among younger persons.

Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital Announces Grand Opening Event

Preparations are well underway for the Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for Thursday, December 13th. Construction of the 110-bed hospital is complete and staff are putting on the finishing touches in preparation for facility tours prior to accepting patients into treatment.

Construction has been completed on the new state of the art Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital located in the Village of New Lenox, IL. Grand Opening proceedings are scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 starting with a welcome ceremony and ribbon cutting at 12:00 PM. This event is not open to the public and attendance is by invite only.

Scott Hullinger announced as CEO of Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital

US HealthVest announces Scott Hullinger, LCSW, MSHSA, CPHQ, has been selected to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital, a new psychiatric hospital, which is on schedule to open in early 2019.

Scott has extensive experience in the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services field having spent the last 25 years at the executive level in CEO and divisional and regional positions with responsibility overseeing as many as 15 hospitals. He has a wealth of knowledge with employee and physician recruitment and satisfaction, regulatory compliance, program development, and clinical operations for mental and substance use treatment caring for all patient populations.
