Support Groups
at Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital

The first responder and healthcare worker support group is to provide a therapeutic space to share experiences on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will be invited to discuss the new challenges they are facing in the field and how these challenges are impacting them personally and professionally.
This support group meets weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm Central Time.
EMS, Fire, and Police frequently experience high levels of stress and anxiety related to work responsibilities. This is also true of healthcare workers in both medical and behavioral fields. The current COVID-19 pandemic has only added to these responsibilities and many people are now unsure of how to cope or look for signs they may need additional support.
Topics that promote staying connected, managing stress, and maintaining safety will be introduced during the group meetings. The group will meet for 1 hour weekly via Zoom and will be facilitated by a licensed counselor. Participants can be assured their privacy will be maintained with utmost respect.
